The unpublished letters from Felice Orsini Colonna’s personal correspondence highlight the pivotal role of the noble woman as one of the protagonists of the late Italian Renaissance, and a sophisticated commissioner of artworks during her stay in Sicily. Through the study of the Vicereine’s correspondence it is also possible to understand her fondness for works from Trapanese craftsmen, particularly for those made from coral as well as her collaboration in the restyling of the private quarters of the Royal Palaces in Palermo and Messina. Orsi polari tra fantasia e realtà: i casi di SAID e Yoko Tawada

This article examines the particular relationship that the German-Japanese writer Yoko Tawada and the German-Iranian writer SAID have with their second homeland, Germany. I also analyze how writers tell the experience of migration through the fantastic story of polar bears. SAID writes in the fairytale Schneebären lügen nie, 2013, of a fantastic encounter between a little girl and a lost polar bear and Tawada tells in the novel Etüden im Schnee, 2014, of three generations of polar bears and their experiences in different countries.

Il contributo ripercorre le tappe e presenta le teorie relative al dibattito sui caratteri di innovazione e quelli tradizionali dell'architettura normanna siciliana con riferimento alle strutture latine e quelle greche. The contribution retraces the stages and presents the theories related to the debate on the character of innovation and of tradition Norman architecture in Sicily with reference to the structures Latin and Greek ones.

Il presente lavoro si propone di riassestare la cronologia della polemica Orsi-Bouhours riponendo al suo giusto posto una negletta traduzione degli Entretiens d'Ariste et d'Eugène ad opera del gesuita messinese D. Jannò. Analizzando le peculiarità di tale versione, se ne evidenzia l'importanza per la diffusione delle idee del "je ne sais quoi" e del "dilicato"; si aggiungono inoltre delle postille sulla ricezione di questi concetti in Italia.
